Kirkintilloch Arts and Cultural Centre

Business plan to support capital fund-raising for a new £7m+ Arts and Cultural Centre linked to a £40m regeneration scheme proposed for the Kirkintilloch area.

The vision for the Kirkintilloch Arts and Cultural Centre was to provide a community base and centre of excellence for artistic activity in East Dunbartonshire focusing on the key art-forms of music, drama and dance. The project required extensive consultation with the local community, delivery partners, funders and other stakeholders to gather support and evidence around which a sustainable business plan could be developed. Scottish Arts Council offered a £1.7m grant (subject to match funding) on the basis of the work carried out by the client team including Iridescence and Page Park architects in Glasgow.

Project Objectives:

Assess market demand for the project
Collate evidence of demand required by funders
Develop viable business model for centre

Finella came highly recommended from colleagues in Scottish Enterprise, and worked with us to develop a business case for a planned Arts and Cultural Centre. Finella showed significant flair for engaging with stakeholders, communities, the client team and others, and her work was consistently of the highest quality. This is someone who clearly understands the needs of major capital funders and how to present a compelling and winning case.
